The Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals will battle for the AFC South title in their wild-card round of the playoffs, according to the Associated Press.
With a win or tie, the Texans would move to the second round, where the Cardinals would have to play their home games at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The Texans have won the last two AFC South playoff games, losing to the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers in their opening games.
The Cardinals, meanwhile, have lost to the Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints in their first two playoff games.
“This is an amazing opportunity for our fans to see our team play in front of our home fans,” said Texans general manager Rick Smith.
“It is also a great opportunity for us to get in the playoffs for the first time in our history and make it to the playoffs.”
The NFL’s playoff schedule is set, but there are a few teams that could make it through the first two rounds.
The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots are locked in a tight race with the Carolina Panthers and Miami Dolphins.
The winner of the Seahawks-Patriots game would clinch the NFC West title.
In the AFC, the New England Texans and Pittsburgh Patriots are neck-and-neck in the AFC West, with the Patriots coming in second.
The Texans are currently tied with the Buffalo Bills, who host the New York Jets in the divisional round on Thursday night.
